The clinic lies in the business and commercial nerve centre of Melilla, in a building along eclectic classical lines and in a setting of modernist-style buildings.
The project design is based on three basic ideas: commercial (owing to its unique setting in the city), modern (to differentiate between the intervention and the intervened) and hygienic (owing to the intended use).
On this basis, I have felt it necessary to remove all superfluous form determined by former uses or adaptations that are inconsistent with the aims to be achieved. The aim is to create a rotund and defining space that is capable of efficiently relating the programme of the customer's needs and a significant commercial attraction. This space will be a distributing and connecting element of the various activities and sub-spaces that will be carried out in the clinic. Formally, it must be distinctive and original of the dental clinic.
