Daniel Castro - Mint

Mint

Mint is easy-to-assemble modular shelving designed to adapt to the different spaces in the home or office. Its dimensions include unlimited length and a maximum height of two metres. The modular format makes it easy to transport and means that pieces can be added or removed according to the user’s needs. One of the outstanding features of the project is its ease of assembly. All you need is hammer and a few screws.

From the very beginning, the project has sought inspiration in nature, endeavouring to transfer certain elements to different parts of the project, from the choice of materials to its formal resources and surface treatments. In terms of materials, the aim of the project has been to achieve a contrast, using a natural component, wood, and an artificial one, plastic. In terms of form and the shelving membranes, the initial motif was inspired by leaves and the gradual separation of the stem, all of which form horizontal planes in the space.
