The economic system that we are currently experiencing is based on consumption as a way of life and a source of satisfaction. We are now seeing the effects of the excesses of this system. A change is needed to get us out of this recession, a sustainable world development must be fostered to ensure that current needs are met, but one which at the same time allows for future development.
The project presented consists of a public-oriented campaign to spread the idea of change through a sustainable development manifesto. The aim of this campaign is to encourage all individuals to change their habits. The challenge facing the design was to communicate these ideals in a sustainable way. The manifesto covers topics ranging from electricity consumption to the qualities of the politicians that we elect, passing through the end of the nuclear era and calling for peace and disarmament. The main tool for spreading these ideals is a book, even though its contents are also on the website. Two poster campaigns introduce and reinforce the subject and a leaflet provides condensed information about the ideals of the manifesto. Lastly, the signatory of the manifesto can ask for a share that involves them in an active role in becoming disseminator of the manifesto.
