The present project involves the rehabilitation of a domestic residence, built in 1978 and currently unoccupied. The idea is to prepare a space where staff of small and medium-sized enterprises can meet, work, socialize and carry out leisure activities, as well as having the option of staying the night (with a capacity for 20 people).
At the same time this space will have the possibility of adapting itself to be used as a small hostal, so that when it is not reserved for companies it can be used by families.
The building consists of two existing constructions connected by a hallway, as well as another structure standing apart. The project seeks to unify the three wings and create another one.
So as to formally unify the four wings, a central space is created. This is done by directing all corridors towards the middle and opening them up to this central area. This allows for all flow of individuals to be done through this central space, which when closed off above by a pergola will constitute an inner courtyard set between the four wings.
In this way it will be possible to unify the various architectural elements while aiding the flow and social ambience for clients who have come to make use of the facility.
