The aim of the project is to make a hammock where the body element and the mind element are equally important. Comfort and relaxation have been the main guidelines for the research.
The hub is a highly resistant hammock in terms of materials, shape and strength. It can withstand up to around 200 kg. An ergonomic approach has been used to ensure that the user’s body is as sheltered as possible, minimising overall size.
The hub is suitable for use indoors, thanks to its simplicity, and also outdoors as it is made from waterproof material that can withstand bad weather.
Detachable and easy to transport, it is lightweight and easy to assemble, and because it has two different coloured pieces of cloth, the user can turn it round and highlight the side they like the most. The snap hooks mean that it can be tightened quite easily, thanks to an innovative anchoring design based on nautical equipment.
