Carolina E. Díaz Galindo - Hortacroma

Hortacroma

Hortacroma is a study based on the chromatic dissection of the colours present in fruit and vegetable. Obtaining maximum chromatic information and analysing its natural, always harmonic, combination was the main aim of my research.

The methodology used has led to the creation of a graphic library of textures and chromatisms, all obtained as a result of observing and working with these foods. Specifically, the study looks at a total of ten: five fruits and five vegetables. The results of the project are aimed at design and/or art professionals. For this reason, I have maintained a certain practical character, such as translating the chromatic ranges extracted from each food to the Pantone nomenclature.

The information is displayed in book-catalogue format without copyright and on a website where the ranges will be updated and/or revised and where the new material obtained will be displayed, as the study is ongoing.
