Front Row (FR) would be a group of musicians offering a new way of experiencing a concert: in the front row and without having to leave your house. At FR performances, you would stop being just a member of the audience and would become the concert host. Each person would be responsible for transforming their house into the best concert venue, informing their friends and family and welcoming the invited FR member. The aim is to enjoy an intimate experience with everyone in the audience, where the barrier formed by the stage disappears and a communion space is created that promotes social relations before and after the performance.
The initiative offers an alternative to the usual concert system. The whole event has a touch of the DIY to it, as the experience is enjoyed in a comfortable and familiar setting and is a more handcrafted event than one designed for mass consumption. However, this does not take away from FR developing a contemporary and refreshing image, adapted to suit its audience. The group would act as a direct contact platform between audience members and musicians, with no intermediaries. Consequently, the pieces have been designed to make it easy for both parties to manage the concert themselves.
