Easy easel is a foldaway backpack-easel for painting outdoors. The aim of the project is to improve the transport of material needed for painting outdoors and how it is organised, both when the easel is open and closed.
The easel comprises a stainless steel structure housed in an external casing made from thermoformed polypropylene plastic (PP). It is finished in leather, which gives it the appearance of a traditional easel.
The backpack-easel has a separate palette on the upper part to make full use of the paint once the picture has been completed. The side panels can be removed for cleaning and/or so that the artist can hold them, just like traditional palettes. On the central palette there are two small pots, one for water and the other for turpentine. Inside, to the right, is a compartment for bottles of water and turps and to the left, two drawers, the first for brushes, pencils and cloths, and the second for paints. Below these is a free space for sketchbooks, possibly a drink and the artists’ personal belongings.
Easy easel means that artists can transport canvasses and, at the same time, have their hands completely free.
