E-Longskate is a skateboard conceived on the basis of the redesign of the conventional electric skateboard. Thanks to this device, all kinds of user (including the partially disabled) can go skateboarding, and it provides society with a comfortable daily mode of transport that uses non-polluting energy.
This skateboard avoids the ergonomics problems of present electric skateboards and provides mastery and safety with a new wireless remote control that is more adaptable, safe and easy to use. It also reduces the successive wear and tear on shoes thanks to an assisted braking system. It can be ridden night and day, as well as in bad weather by adding non-slip rubber pads on which to place the feet.
It is a project that embraces new manufacturing techniques, such as RTM using composites, with materials such as carbon fibre laminates, Kevlar®, infusion resin, synthetic fibres, PE, ultra-soft neoprene, Velcro, rubber, translucent PC, silicones, ABS and aluminium.
By studying the relationships between material, shape and position, research has been conducted that, by correcting posture, provides the user with qualitative improvements in the sensations that they get when skateboarding.
