The space chosen to complete the project is an industrial warehouse that had been used as a carpentry workshop.
One point on which I want to act is the main façade, which has no interest of any kind for the rest of the street as it has no interesting element that acts in harmony with its setting. Natural light is one of the points I aim to emphasise, dividing the rooms and choosing the best place to put them depending on the daylight.
The distribution created in the space is based on the idea of a free floor and leaves the kitchen, the living room and an open courtyard at the rear on the ground floor. On the first floor is the master bedroom, the bathroom and the guest bedroom. On the last floor, we find an open office with picture windows leading on to a solarium on the southwest façade. The flooring is multi-layer, which gives the same effect as the flooring of an old workshop.
In formal aspects, the visual language of the home is read as a cube house, which uses basic and neutral materials, and emphasises only those parts that we want to highlight in the dwelling.
