Dixit

Death is inherent in life, and for this reason represents a human, global and atemporal need. In spite of this, death has a powerful cultural component, which is why it is experienced in different ways in function of the context and moment. While in the Middle Ages death was seen as a natural, anonymous fact that was easy to accept, rising individualism has gradually increased concern for one’s own death.

In present-day Western society, the most prolific focus of information is the Internet. Digital life has given rise to an incalculable quantity of personal data online, whose future is not often considered. What should be done with all this information when someone dies?

Dixit is a project that seeks to deal with the problem of death on the Internet. Keeping in mind the need to be addressed, Dixit is set out as a service to manage one’s own data on the Internet. This is an eminently digital project, so that the components derived from it have the screen as their specific support.
