Marta Ballester Navarro - Cafè-teatre

Café-theatre

Visual communication project for a chain of café-theatres comprising four cafés. These are located in Barcelona and can hold fifty people. The project is aimed at people aged between 20 and 45 who are interested in the performing arts. Theatre performances, monologues, puppet shows, mime shows, etc. will be staged at these cafés. The aim of the project is to raise the profile and popularise the café-theatre, making it another leisure time pursuit in the city. To achieve this, the image of the café-theatre needs modernising and a commercial chain promoting without losing sight of the closeness and human side to the genre.

The values of the brand are closeness, emotion and leisure. The cafés are: Decaf Teatro, offering light-hearted and fun shows for audiences to enjoy with family and friends; Expreso Teatro, with dark comedy and social critique performances; Moka Teatro, which tackles current issues but retains a sense of humour; and Latte Teatro, with cabaret shows and touches of sensuality. The graphic language is based primarily on vectorial illustration dominated by curves to which different textures are applied.
