Alioli would be the name of a Catalan music festival in Madrid. This would consist of a concert trail held in the squares of the city centre and the groups taking part would be a brief representation of the current new music in Catalan.
The aim would therefore be to export culture and try to break down the frontier between Catalonia and Madrid, bringing Catalan music to Madrid audiences in a warm and friendly way. Symbols of identity are normally used to represent Catalan culture (such as the colours of the Catalan flag), which in this case might even lead to prevention or rejection due to cultural, economic and political rivalries between Catalonia and Madrid. Consequently, the main graphic challenge lies in representing a Catalan music festival that captures the interest of a very wide audience. The graphics take as their reference point elements from Madrid life, such as the blackboards in bars. Apps contain information for visiting the festival and getting to know the groups.
