einaidea calls on artists, designers, students, educators, activists and practitioners to join Prem Krishnamurthy in the prototyping of a multidisciplinary workshop towards new ways of being together. Using strategies aimed at a variety of researchers and pedagogical communities in the arts, design and architecture, Department of Transformation incorporates formats ranging from artist talks and study seminars to shared meals, role-playing, listening sessions, and karaoke.
Launched in response to a context of extreme ecopolitical and civil unrest, Department of Transformation brings together small interdisciplinary cohorts in a variety of schools, universities, and cultural institutions, providing a hybrid learning framework for connection and conflict, collaboration and pleasure. Its public events and gatherings offer improvisational encounters for community design exploring diversity and vulnerability, leading to new strategies for togetherness, learning, and collective healing.
Organized with einaidea, Department of Transformation will take place between 20-23 November 2024, from 3-8pm, at Eina Bosc. Interested participants should send a short motivation note to einaidea@eina.cat before 15 November.
This workshop takes place in the framework of ALTR\ES, einaidea’s Program of Other Studies, and has a cost of 90€, with a 50% discount for Eina community (students, alumni, faculty, associate researchers and PhD candidates).
