Eina Foundation has appointed Violeta Sugranyes as director of the institution with the aim of reinforcing the institution's commitment to rigorous training in art and design, and to promote contemporary creation and critical reflection in the cultural sphere.
Sugranyes, who was born in the United Kingdom, has a degree in Journalism and a diploma in Sociology, and has an extensive career in cultural and audiovisual management. For the last six years, she has worked at the Teatre Lliure as project coordinator and producer, where she has promoted initiatives of a diverse and transversal nature, generating a cultural impact on society.
She begins this new stage with the desire to contribute to a plural, situated and rigorous Eina, which promotes the broad concept of design by encouraging experimental creation committed to its environment through all its platforms: Eina University Centre, einaidea and Eina Obra.
