The façade of Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau in Barcelona presents a special illumination this Christmas created by students of the subjects Digital Creation i Typography Creation of EINA, based on gobos* and specific typographies.
Acting voluntarily, some of the students of Santi Vilanova, have proposed a lumínic intervention based on 12 gobos with diferent season’s messages, while alumni of Andreu Balius have worked on the choice of the typographies designed during last year 2014/2015 and the composition of the chosen ones. Among others, visitors will be able to see the "Niza" by Dani Bazaco, "Olga" by Nikita Bashmakov, "Bacon" by Pol Pintó Fabregat and the type designed by Fabiana Romero Rodríguez. In collaboration with students Albert Bosch and Maria Fallada.
During the special Season, a small exhibition in the interior of the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau will explain the creative process of students.
Illumination will start on December 19th 2015 and will finish on January 7th 2016, from 6pm to midnight, approximately.
GOBO. It is normally a physical template of metal or glass positioned in front of a lighting source, used to control the ways it which it emits light. The word Gobo comes from the English -go between- the ocular disc goes before optics*.
