The students on the Stage Design subject, in the fourth year of the Design Degree, taught by Anna Alcubierre, visited the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. At the Liceu, Muntsa Inglada and Marc Romero from the technical office gave a unique guided tour as the students didn't visit the building on the usual tourist route but were able to visit the stage, or the multiplicity of stages. The students were lucky enough to be able to see four stage designs in place, or being put in place, which is very rare, owing to this week's hectic programme. At the Theatre Institute, stage designer Bibiana Puidefàbregas, head of the Stage Space Department, explained how the stage design speciality on the Degree in Dramatic Art worked and about the centre in general.
