In the framework of Maria Girona's anthological exhibition, Contemporary of herself, the Espais Volart of the Antoni Vila Casas Foundatin will host the round table " New readings about Maria Girona", on Thursday 16 November at 6.30 pm.
This activity, which does not require prior registration, aims to help you discover her work and situate it as an extraordinarily refined embodiment of a Mediterranean imaginary centred on the visual stimuli coming from her magic triangle: Barcelona, Cadaqués and Calaceite.
The round table will feature the writer and painter Narcís Comadira and the artist and professor of Fine Arts Antònia Vilà, who will talk with the exhibition curators Àlex Susanna and Victoria Combalía about the artist's life and work; a body of work that has remained intact in its capacity for attraction over the years.
