Eina Foundation has honoured the companies Roca, Santa & Cole and Simon with the Amic d’Eina Award, a recognition of their trajectory and commitment to education, design and their connection with the institution. The Foundation also wished to particularly highlight their cooperation in the creation of Bosc, a key collaboration that made possible a project conceived as a meeting point for emerging talent and for contemporary reflection within the fields of design and the arts.
The award was presented during the gathering of companies and institutions held on 5 May at Eina Bosc, an event that underscored the importance of collaboration between academia and private enterprise in fostering creativity and innovation.
The three companies stand out for their trajectory and contribution to the design and industrial sectors, becoming benchmarks for new generations of professionals. Their relationship with Eina helps generate spaces for collaboration, learning and knowledge exchange between students, teaching staff and the business community.
On behalf of the awarded companies, the Amic Eina Award was received by David Garrido, Design Manager at Roca; Pablo Antonino, Managing Director of Santa & Cole; Clara Batiste, Senior Industrial Designer; and Núria Nicolau, Lola Platforms Manager, representing Simon.
Created by artist Sergi Aguilar, the Amic d’Eina Award recognises individuals and institutions that, through their trajectory and support, have helped strengthen Eina’s educational and cultural project. This year, the award is presented to companies for the first time — Roca, Santa & Cole and Simon — following previous editions that honoured figures such as Oriol Bohigas, Daniel Giralt-Miracle, Javier Mariscal and Mario Eskenazi.
