Members of the Research group Didactics in Design (DIDI) Irma Arribas, Anna Majó, Octavi Rofes and Oriol Ventura participated in the 5th Conference in educational relations in the University: new learning environments in Valencia, with the paper "How to create, out of a subject, a community of practice and learning? Introduction to the Design Project as case study”.

"This text is conceived as a journey through the work of ideation, management and implementation of Introduction to Project Design, a course of the first year of the degree in design at EINA, University Center of Design and Art, linked to the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona. The desire is to slowly escape the "classical" idea of a subject taught within a closed group, limited in time and with a predetermined schedule, to transform it into a community of practice and learning, without leaving the educational environment that the university provides, but extending it to new knowledge production environments. We believe that the expansion of the environment is consistent with the nature of a subject with such projective character, serving the creative process rather than a predetermined content or expected results contained beforehand. To this respect, considering that the approach of the subject progresses year after year, argumentation has been based on one of the experiences that have been generated over the fifth edition and on several elements of the sixth edition, which is about to begin in the second quarter of 2016."
