The Institut La Serreta, the Fundació Jaume Bofill, the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Rubí Town Council and EINA, Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona have presented "Magnet. Aliances per a l'èxit educatiu" (Partnerships for educational success), the programme that involves educational centres and institutions of reference in innovative and quality educational projects.

The event, which took place at Institut La Serreta in Rubí on 24 November, was attended by Montserrat Vendrell Aumatell, director of Institut La Serreta; Eva Parés Sachez, operational director of EINA; Ismael Palacín Giner, director of the Fundació Jaume; Joan Cuevas Expósito, director general of educational innovation, research and digital culture at the Department of Education; Ana María Martínez Martínez, mayor of Rubí and member of the Diputació de Barcelona.

Design and art as the core of learning

The alliance between La Serreta and EINA has design and art as learning axes to promote creativity, analytical skills, knowledge of the environment, attitude towards knowledge and new ways of looking among the students of the institute.

The partnership with EINA will provide Institut La Serreta with a way of conceiving the pedagogy of design and art as a programme and, above all, as a way of being, as an attitude towards life and society. This alliance, in addition to consolidating the artistic baccalaureate offered by La Serreta, will make it possible for students to incorporate the ability to identify and solve problems creatively, in any context, through the practice of design and art.

Magnet, alliances for educational success

"Magnet. Aliances per a l'èxit educatiu" is a programme of innovation for educational equity promoted by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Fundació Jaume Bofill, and the Institut de Ciències de l'Educació of the UAB.

The participating institutions are leaders in a specific field of knowledge (science, technology, art, design, audiovisual communication, etc.) and have an educational commitment to society and a great capacity to transfer innovation and knowledge.

The knowledge provided by the partner institution allows the educational centres to develop globalised projects, which, based on one axis (scientific, technological, artistic...), encourage the development of all the competences among the students of the centre.
