Enric Jardí, professor of the Master's Degree in Graphic Design at EINA, presents his book "Cincuenta y tantos consejos sobre tipografía" (Fifty-odd typography tips), from GG publishing house, on Friday 12 November at 6pm at EINA Barra de Ferro (Barra de Ferro, 2), in an event that will include the participation of Oriol Pibernat, professor of the Bachelor of Design and the University Master's Degree in Art and Design Research (MURAD) at EINA-UAB.
The publication is a new, revised and expanded edition of an indispensable reference on how to use letters. In it, Enric Jardí has reviewed, updated and nuanced some of these recommendations and has included new ones, in the same rigorous spirit and at the same time free of purist obfuscations.
All the advice is explained with naturalness and affability, considering factors such as historical context, legibility, functionality, visibility in different media, etc., information that helps to understand the reason for certain traditional criteria and to break them sensibly when appropriate.
