Roc Blackblock is an “all-terrain” illustrator established in Barcelona who works in a wide range of techniques and media: leather, paper, canvas, wall … In 2012 he began using large format wall screens with an elaborate personal and technical work that has provided a growing relevance in the urban art scene. An active member of the social movements, has often created images that have been around the world and have become icons to popular demands. His work is an example of visual communication for personal and collective vindications. He has recently presented several works at N2 Gallery within the Swab Art Fair Barcelona.
In occassion of his participation in the next OpenWalls Conference Barcelona 2015 (from 26th to 31st of October), and as a context complement to the mural interventions that will be worked upon in the subject Illustration Techniques 4th year of the Degree in Design at EINA, taught by Enric Font, Roc Blackblock will present his work in a open session at EINA, in dialogue with all those present.
