Currently, the idea of design has reached epistemology, a field that, in principle, seems far removed from the analysis of practical situations. However, it should be taken into account that epistemology has gone from an a priori perspective to a naturalised one, in the sense that it cannot ignore the empirical results of science when configuring its methodological models. Moreover, the philosophy of science has expanded its analysis beyond pure science, so a revision of the epistemology of applied science has become necessary. In conclusion, design has penetrated all the spheres of theoretical and practical knowledge.
