Between 1965 and 1970 the group of artists known as El Maduixer, formed by Silvia Gubern Antoni Llena, Jordi Gali, Evru (Zush / Albert Porta) and Angel Jové, was one of the first to open new perspectives on conceptual art, the art pouvre and the performance. Alexandre Cirici Pellicer -historian, critic, designer and founder along with Albert Rafols Casamada of EINA, in 1967, gave them support and recognition acknowledging their significant forefront position in the avantguard of the Barcelona of the time. On the centenary of the birth of Cirici in this 2014, the five artists were reunited at EINA, this past October 23rd, to pay tribute to their mentor; each creating an original and ephemeral work of art, devised specifically for the occasion.
