Subject: Applied Physics in Design Professor: Raúl Oliva
Students of the first year of the degree in design will present 13 structures of great proportions that will have to remain in balance for 30min. Without being able to use junction systems between pieces or welding of materials and without using the formal resource of symmetry in the finished piece, the structures will have to surpass at least 3m. of height whilst the surface of the ground support will not be able to exceed that of a 2€ coin: (520mm2.). -
International Cooperation Contest: Early Testing // game design
11am. – 13pm.
Subject: Design of Identity Elements
Professor: Elena Bartomeu
The subject Design of Identity Elements of the second year of the degree in design, will carry out a contest of game designs in collaboration with the company Game Solution. This year’s games are under the theme of international cooperation. Through designed strategies and play dynamics, the games aim to provide a collective learning experience for the consolidation of the identity of big groups. In the activity during the open day, students will conduct an Early Testing of their proposals to measure playability and ease of the designed games. -

OPEN CLASS SIGNS. Construction, installation and contest
11am. – End of the installation
Subject: Models and prototypes
Professor: Àxel Legares
Students of the second year of the degree in design install and present their sign project for EINA’s Open Class. This space in public premises was promoted by EINA to be used as an "Exterior class" and as free use space for all members of the EINA community. Students, after working individually on the project, have gathered in groups and have developed the final project works in 2 ephemeral models and have completed both a 1/1 scale prototype for the open day’s contest and have written the executive business plan of their project’s final version.
The activity will end with a voting poll to choose the contest winner. -
Llibres alliberats
Library
9am – 3pm. All day, you will find around EINA’s different rooms and premises, titles identified with the label “llibre alliberat” (“released book”), as well as a small stand at the library.

Students’ Collective at EINA’s gardens. Serigraphy Workshop
10am- 2pm.
The students’ collective of EINA proposes a stand holding a participative open air serigraphy workshop. In exchange of a symbolic price to cover the costs of materials and the award to the winner of the resulting design proposals contest, workshop participants will be able to be initiated in the stamping technique of their own collective’s bag. -
Entrepreneurship’s Paella
12.30pm.
Students of the third year present their entrepreneurship projects while two paellas are being cooked. An expert jury will evaluate the viability of the projects. With the collaboration of Moritz.

Guided Visits
10am and 3pm. Our professors will gladly accompany you during the programmed visits and guide you around EINA’s premises and activity sites, giving response to all questions or doubts in regards to studying at EINA. Main lobby gathering for visit’s starting point.
EINA Foundation. Art Collection
11am and 1pm
Art historian Àlex Mitrani, professor at EINA, will conduct a brief tour of the Foundation Tower, that holds some f the most relevant art pieces of EINA’s collection and archive.

PRINT.ed #2. Unique and singular publications

PRINT.ed is a small format fair dedicated to the sector of unique and singular publications. If you are interested in the world of the book and its limits, if you like are, prints, artist's books, self-publishing, small (or large) variations within printmaking and the mutliple...of if perhaps you are looking for an original Sant Jordi gift, come and see the proposals of students and teachers of EINA, Llotja, Escola Massana, Canterbury Book Arts (University of the Creative Arts) and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (University of Dundee, Scotland).
Closing event: 7.30pm – Presentation of the fanzine produced at the workshop 24hour Printin People by Miguel Bustos & Co.
