Irma Arribas, PhD in architectural communication from ETSAB-UPC, is the new director of EINA, Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona.
With a degree in Architecture from the ETSA in Valladolid, Irma Arribas' career has always been linked to the world of research, teaching and creative projects in art, architecture and design in both national and international contexts.
In the academic field, she has participated in transversal educational and innovation programmes with institutions and companies, both private and public, promoting shared knowledge, intelligence and projective creative skills and critical thinking.
She combines teaching and research with artistic production and curatorship, having exhibited in national and international museums and architecture biennials.
She teaches undergraduate, masters and doctoral courses at architecture, design and business universities such as ETSAM, ETSAB, ETSAV, La Salle Barcelona, IED Barcelona, EINA, ESADE, among others. Professionally, Irma Arribas is an activist in the field of design as a means of communication, negotiation and dialogue, emphasising how design designs our environment as well as designing ourselves.
From the direction of EINA she will continue to activate dynamic spaces of knowledge based on continuous, close and direct contact between all the parts and gears that make up the university community.
