Lola Lasurt, professor of the Bachelor of Design, participates in the 9th edition of the Barcelona Gallery Weekend, the annual art event of reference that takes place from 14 to 17 September, with the exhibition Pictorial Curatorial I: Esther Guillén, which will take place at the Joan Prats Gallery (Balmes, 54).
This project vindicates the abstract artistic practices that interest the artist through her painting, deals with painting abstraction figuratively, and is divided into two parts: the Vallecas School (1920-39) and then the ceramics of Esther Guillén (Lleida, 1943).
The exhibition presents a selection of ceramics by Esther Guillén, an artist who has produced a relevant and little-known body of work since the 1960s, characterised by an abstraction based on organic forms; and also works by Lola Lasurt.
Pictorial Curatorship I: Esther Guillén opens on 14 September at 6 pm and will be open until 11 November.
