LAUS Awards 2013 - EINA

Last 4 July saw the awarding of the LAUS 2013 Prizes where the new EINA corporate image, designed by Clase bcn, was awarded a Grand Laus in the Medium- and Large-Company Corporate Identity category. The exhibition catalogue “Quatre lletres: Eina!” [Four Letters: Eina!], also a Clase bcn project, won a Laus d’Or in the category of corporate publication, catalogue, report, house-organ.

The new graphic identity of Eina is in response to a desire to develop its communication within the roles of a university school, and this includes the need to promote dynamic and advanced forms of visual language for a design centre. Recognised for its teaching work, Eina also works to provide greater visibility to its tasks of transfer and communication with society, to establish a space for reflection and debate on contemporary design and art, and to engage in research and cultural production. The idea is to offer communication a series of new graphic resources that express the intensity, the quality and the variety of the activities and productions that the centre generates. In this sense, we have moved away from the more standardised solutions of corporate identity as the aim of this graphic identity project is to emphasise the eminently cultural and independent nature of Eina. This was the premise that guided the project and that the clase bcn design studio made its own.
