Laura Meseguer, teacher of the Advanced Typography Master will take part in the Serebro Nabora Type Conference, an annual international conference on typography held in Moscow, with a talk on the 1st of October titled “When fascination becomes your profession” where she will present her practice as a trip from the beginning till today with her reflexions and perspective of a career full of discoveries and experiences.
There are graphic designers that are begging for opportunities to improve their typographic knowledge, which is why Sebora Nabora was born, with the objective of trying to deal with this problem. People from all over Russia and neighbouring countries attended the first Nabora Sebora conference. It was a resounding success and quickly became one of the most important events for the local design community. Sebora Nabora quickly became the social meeting point for graphic design professionals from Russia and the neighbouring countries that were once part of the USSR. Type designers, graphic designers, calligraphers and anyone interested in typography found a place where they could meet and exchange views and experiences. In 2013 it became an international conference with speakers and attendees from around the world.
