EINA is calling a get-together of former students and teachers to bring along works or other documentary materials to the EINA historical archive.
It will be a festive occasion to mark the 50th anniversary of EINA. The event consists of coming along to the EINA venue with works, teaching materials or photographs that have been kept and that can be rescued from the attic. Once there, items will be registered and kept to be scanned and then returned to their owners a few days later.
To ensure that classmates from the same years coincide at the same time, the collection of material will be organised according to the following programme:
-
Friday 15 December (4 pm to 8 pm)
Classes of the 1980s -
Saturday 16 December (12 noon to 3 pm)
Classes of the 1970s -
Saturday 16 December (4 pm to 8 pm)
Classes of the 1990s and 2000s
These get-togethers of friends and classmates include breakfast, aperitif or tea, depending on the time, and will be documented photographically or audiovisually.
As regards the technical aspects, the following should be remembered:
-
The call is aimed at collecting visual documentation about the work produced by former EINA students. At present, the archive has documentary material on one-off activities and the regular running of the school, but it has a lesser representation of students’ works prior to the digitisation of these (before 2000). We are referring both to class exercises (from subjects such as colour, volume, drawing, photography, typography, painting, etc.), and to notes on history or theory subjects, projects or any other document relating to the time spent here by former EINA students.
-
This call also goes out to teachers who have documentation on the school (subject programmes, photographs of works or activities, etc.).
-
It is a temporary loan of the material with the aim of digitising or photographing it. The archive does not have room to store a collection of this type. To this effect, a receipt for the material will be signed and it will be returned after a month. In some exceptional cases, a loan of the material may be considered.
