"Ivo Sans. Marks on anything", exhibition commissioned by Àlex Mitrani, at Arts Santa Mònica

Next November 17th, at 7:30pm. at Arts Santa Mònica will take place the inauguration of the exhibition Ivo Sans. Marks on anythingcommissioned by Àlex Mitrani.

The exhibition will be accessible until Desembre 13th.

"Ivo Sans artist and musician, enjoys prestige within the circle of experimental jazz, but his artistic work is practically unknown. His work can reconnect to a critical genealogy of contemporary Catalan Art; an art of fragility and humility. With Tàpies as patriarch and Antoni Llena as one of the main drivers, other figures may be linked, such as Joan Furriols or young artists who deal with various registers, from irony to lyricism, like David Bestué or Mar Arza. There is an ethical relevance and even politics, in the starting point of Ivo Sans. Against consumption and performance, rather than opt for the voluminous and striking affirmation that competes with other stimuli that invade our daily lives, the artist prefers to wait for the right moment to emerge beauty, interrogation or memory under a minimal form of intervention. Art becomes a kind of vestige that is also manifested as a right; the right to silence and reflection. "
