Toni Gironès will give the lecture 'Habitar, una mirada al sentido de la arquitectura’ (Inhabiting, a look at the meaning of architecture) on Monday 22 April at 4pm at Eina Sentmenat as part of the University Master's Degree in Design of Spaces (MUDE).
The architect considers how inhabiting the future will only be possible if we learn to live together in harmony from the present, discovering the value of our past.
"A place is perceived and experienced as pleasant through the simplicity of small actions: extending a horizontal plane to create a terrace, an unearthed rock that welcomes and supports us, a summer sunset in the shade of a mulberry tree, or a small window that dialogues vehemently with the tramontana wind. We only need to clear away the noise to be able to see again (with all our senses) the horizon", reflects Toni Gironès.
