Professor Guy Julier, main researcher of contemporary design at the Victoria and Albert Museum, visited, last Sunday April 26th, the Contemporary Art Centre Fabra i Coats to share the results on the work Common Places of Blanca Muntadas and Octavi Rofes. In this project , the descriptions of public spaces that in 1991 Julier included in his book New Spanish Design, have been sent to the 10 co -workers from different cities , who unaware that originally the descriptions referred to Barcelona, have photographed spaces in their own city that match the description . The 86 pictures included are grouped into 22 categories that make up the main characteristics of the contemporary city. Common Places can be seen at Fabra i Coats, until May 17th, within the exhibition Afterlandscape.
