Based on the «10 principles of good design» that Dieter Rams, one of the most influential designers of the 20th century established in the 1970s, Foment de les Arts i del Disseny (FAD) proposes «Good Design is ...» (https://www.barcelonadesignweek.com/en/fad-for-good-design/), a set of activities that reflect on what good design is and what its role should be in the face of the current challenges facing humanity, which are included within the framework of the Barcelona Design Week.

Programme of conferences with prominent names such as Feminist Internet, Lolo & Sosaku, Chris Lefteri, Lievore + Altherr Désile Park, Apparatu, Lacol, Curro Claret, Tina Gorjanc, Zak Group, Deutsche & Japaner, Maria ke Fisherman or Anne Lacaton.
These national and international references will explain their projects, the principles and values they follow in their professional practice, and their personal view of the principles of Rams's good design, either by alignment or as opposed to the designer's original vision.

Special screening of the documentary «Rams» by Gary Hustwit, also director of films such as Helvetica, Objectified and Urbanized, which explores the impact of typography, industrial design and urban planning, respectively.

Day of collective creation, curated by Domestic Data Streamers, where families will have the opportunity to reflect on the principles of Dieter Rams through an interactive experience.
