Unfortunately, on Saturday March 7th painter Maria Girona left us, at the age of 92.
The painter was linked to EINA from the start, along with her husband Albert Rafols-Casamada and other artistic creators and intellectuals of the time. Through her teaching of subjects in drawing and painting techniques, Girona promoted activities that enlivened the progress of courses and gave visibility to our institution. She was head of the Art Department, when it was established during the nineties, and member of EINA’s Board of Trustees. Our center will not forget her remarkable contribution to the teaching of art and the consolidation of EINA as a center of reference in art and design.
