“Exposure”, Sama Genís interpreted by EINA students of Design

Work by ceramicist Sama Genís has been interpreted by students of the subject Design of Ephemeral Spaces, 2nd year of the degree in Design at EINA, who have projected an original format for its public presentation.

Based on analogies with the forms, qualities of materials, finishes and processes of creation, each piece of the artist has been relocated inside a cube. The cubes have been conceived as elements of presentation and relationship, establishing new links between the art work and the framework designed.

The group shows a variety of heterogeneous strategies of the relationship between the exhibits and the different worlds that have been created to accommodate them. From formal mimicry or the underlining of the context, which frame the intrinsic character, or from the staging that opens up new readings; each cube is a work that incorporates a unique dialogue between a student and an art piece of the artist.

Portrayed are the interpretations from Carme Alcovero, Mònica Amorós, Aida Aram, Laura Armengol, Núria Badia, Dorian Baetens, Rocio Belda, Andrea Bilbao, Oriol Campillo, Brigitte Carles, Clara Casajuana, Clara Casanovas, Berta Comellas, Dani Ferre, David Garrido, Xavi Goñi, Patricia Le Hech, Ana Llimona, Tomàs Lóbez, Regina Loppacher, Anna Marcó, Hector Mateu, Laura Lua Molina, Irene Morales, Enric Moran, Marc Oliva, Clàudia Orellana, Robert Peirot, Belén Peró, Marta Rocabayera, Octavi Rofes, Neus Targa, Paula Terra and Maria Viladomiu.
