On the 22nd of October Jaume Ribas, a former EINA student, opens the exhibition Absis, its curator beingÀlex Mitrani.
“There is no doubt that this is a painting made for its contemplation, that is, to look at it deeply and thoughtfully. It takes us into an unfathomable space, which is paradoxically superficial at the same time, a blind layout that takes us back to our image and makes us think about ourselves. It is both a mirror and a window. Depending on our state and our vital needs, this painting frees us from ourselves offering us an infinite landscape, at the same time that it leads us to a presence, a concentration, and to focus in our true self, stripped of immediacy and false needs”
