"Volumetric Calligraphy" is a way of approaching medieval calligraphy towards the future. The exhibition, based on Edgar Duch's Final Degree in Design Project, is based on a series of pieces that convert the result of the study of a new aesthetic resource, which attempts to open up a new sphere of knowledge of medieval calligraphy.
The aim of the exhibition is to systematise the projection of calligraphy on volumetric forms, establishing the proportions of the letter distortion, the necessary pen sizes and the formalisation of the base figures.
"Volumetric Calligraphy" is based on in-depth research into classic books and manuals of calligraphy and on the numerous experiments prior to the development of the project.
