"The fabrics, they 've been covered by layers that overlap each other, that are transparent and that reveal different angles. To the digitally created images, I’ve incorporated oil paint, with all its updated anachronism. Figures of the past have acquired a new pixelated existence and oil painting has acquired mimetic techniques from the digital world. "
Esperança Rabat, EINA alumni and BA in Art History by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, is an art and design critic, coordinator and curator of exhibitions and currently art director and graphic designer of the magazine La maleta de Portbou . She has recently too returned to painting.
