Lola Lasurt, professor of the Bachelor of Design at EINA, is the creator of the exhibition "El Ganxo", which can be visited until 15th May at the Fundació Joan Brossa (Flassaders, 40).
This installation is part of the Gabinet Brossa programme, which focuses on an artistic production resulting from a research process in the Joan Brossa archive deposited in the MACBA's Documentation and Archive Centre.
"El Ganxo" is based on a double research: on the one hand, it focuses on Brossa's stage poetry applied to the opera by Josep Maria Mestres Quadreny and, on the other hand, it focuses on the self-organisation of amateur and semi-professional theatre groups active since the last years of Franco's regime, to propose them as a backdrop.
All the material collected is focused on a single image represented in the past to turn it into an image of present violence, in which, as in the world of fables, the portrait of society personifies the animal world.
