"Concordant amb cordes” (“Matching strings”) is a small showcase of works (paintings and drawings) that Jo Milne has been developing in relation to the representation of theoretical approaches linked to (string theory).
The evolution and advancement of the scientific world, from physics to molecular computed tomography, have opened new scenarios and at the same time physical theories have suggested doubts about our perception of the world, proposing multiverse and dimensions beyond the four we had assumed in perception.
Meanwhile, apparently far from these intangible cosmologies and in parallel, the perception in the process of painting becomes a tangible possibility after the refusal, the make and remake. Just as in a scientific laboratory procedure.
It is precisely within this paradox, slipping between matter, that the action and perversity posed by the attempt to transfer into paper this world -which escapes any possibility of representation-, becomes the engine of thepictorial work, formalizing a ranging dialogue between the Ariadne labyrinth; the line traced by the walking in Paul Klee, the drawings that come from the connection of the points and the string theory proposed by contemporary physics.
