Miquel Espinet, former director and professor at EINA, presents the book "ESPINET + UBACH, latest works and projects 2007-2022" on 23 February at 19h at COAC, Col·legi Oficial d'Arquitectes de Catalunya (Plaça Nova, 5).
The event will be attended by Jordi Badia (BAAS Arquitectura), Pau Bajet (Bajet Giramé), Enric Batlle (batelleiro), Miquel Espinet (Espinet/Ubach), Berta Grau (Espinet/Ubach) and Xavier Osarte (C63_Studio), among others.
"Fifteen years, the period chosen by the publisher, situates us in the crisis (or rather collapse) suffered by housing development, and even more so by construction in general, during those years. Fifteen years of architectural activity to produce a total of fourteen works, some of them still unfinished, designed by a team led by the two founding architects, but pushed, so as not to forget, by multiple confluences. Architecture requires technical and creative support in all its phases, from design to construction, from engineering to the calculation of its structures, but also in relations with certification and sustainability teams.
Espinet Ubach has spent these fifteen years, which are transcribed here, adapting the production teams to respond to the challenges of the most complex commissions, always faithful to our conviction of making architecture a craft with many hands."
