Eina takes part in Girona Temps de Flors 2026

Students from the Specialisation Diploma in Garden Art and Design play a leading role in the upcoming edition of Girona Temps de Flors, taking part in the design and installation of a floral display on the steps of Catedral de Girona, one of the festival’s most iconic locations. The event, which will take place from 9 to 17 May, turns Girona into a major cultural and tourist showcase each spring, with a significant economic and media impact.

The project is led by Teresa Vidal, PhD in Architecture, researcher of Antoni Gaudí and Catalan Modernism, and technical coordinator at Eina, within the framework of the Gaudí Year 2026 commemoration. Initially conceived for a balcony, the proposal was expanded by the organizers to take place in this central and highly visible site.

The participating students are: Abdullah Jawad K. Al Assadi, Nestor Babon, María Andrea Duran, Víctor Galisteo, Natalia Jurado, Ana Sofia Mayor, Susana Puiggrós, and Ana Zaragoza.

The installation will include a lighting study that will enhance the experience both during the day and at night, highlighting the floral composition and the architectural setting. The installation will be assembled in the days leading up to the opening, on Saturday, May 9.

This collaboration strengthens the connection between research, education, and professional practice, and is part of a festival that, since 1954, has become an international benchmark, transforming the city of Girona into a large-scale showcase for artistic and floral expression.
