EINA has been invited to take part in All Inked Up, Kent’s International Artist and Print Event, which is to be held from 13 to 15 October in Canterbury and Folkestone (United Kingdom) and is part of the Canterbury Festival and Folkestone Triennial Fringe.
The event features the participation of over 30 artists from South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom and shows the work of teachers and students at European universities and art galleries and studios.
Jo Milne, teacher on the Bachelor’s Degree in Design and on the University Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design, will be taking part in the symposium held in the University for Creative Arts (UCA CANTERBURY), which brings together international artists and designers, including David Faithfull, Paula Roush, Otto Graphic and Bob and Roberta Smith. The aim of the meeting is to debate what an “artist’s book” consists of and its function, taking the experience, ideas and visions of all the speakers as the starting point.
Besides this, EINA teachers and students will be at the artists’ book fair held over three days. This is a show of work by professionals from a range of disciplines who use the book format as a component of their work, as a means of creation or as an art form.
The different projects on show at All Inked Up can be seen on 21 April at the Espai Cultural EINA Barra de Ferro during PRINT.ed#4, a small-format fair devoted to one-off publications and organised by EINA.
