Eina participates in the Crafts Now: festival of crafts and innovation

Eina participates in the 5th edition of Crafts Now, the craft and innovation festival, taking place on December 2 and 3 at the TRENT space in Barcelona (Carrer Lluís el Piadós, 5), with two activities linked to the Diploma in Advanced Studies in Contemporary Crafts and Design.

Demo 1 with Daniela Castillo Duarte
December 2, from 5 pm to 8 pm

Textile art is understood as a tool for communication and collective memory. In this workshop, facilitator Daniela C. Duarte, various artivist collectives and spontaneous participants will embroider together. As the pieces are created, they will be displayed so that the stitches and their messages fill the public space with their own content.

Entrelazadas. Artivismo Textil, Reivindicación Política y Cuidado Mutuo

Workshop with Montse Roa
December 3, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm

A contemporary basketry workshop combining digital prototyping tools with traditional techniques, working with natural materials while respecting the local environment. Each participant will create their own piece using the “niu” technique, based on their inspiration and creativity, and will be able to take it home at the end.

Driven by the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda (CCAM) through Artesania Catalunya, CraftsNow “Casa d’Oficis” invites attendees to pause, observe, and innovate, combining both touristic and purist perspectives. The coexistence of master artisans and new generations is essential: different viewpoints sharing the same time and space.

The programme is structured around talks, workshops, demonstrations, and installations—spaces for transmission, dialogue and experimentation that blend tradition and contemporary approaches.
