- Wednesday, November 2nd
- From 16 to 18
- EINA
The design for transition is an emerging practice in the field of design that works for the creation of alternative lifestyles beneficial to the economy, society and the planet. For this purpose, the design for transition has the distinction of being developed at system level: design of public policies and/or relationships between organizations.
After two years of activity, EINA’s Research group “Design Processes” along with the research project "The Generation Of Knowledge In The Artistic Research: Towards an alternative explanation. A meeting point between philosophy, Art and Design" will do a public presentation of the work lines open in the design for transition and the state of art, from the experience gained in the first international symposium, where Adrià Garcia i Mateu, a former student of EINA, participated this summer in the Schumacher College.
What is being created around the Transition Design? What are its aims? What contribution can it make? How does a designer for the transition work? What local actors are there around it? Questions like this will be addressed. The symposium will also be announced, which will be held at EINA in the forthcoming months and where topics like the knowledge and the design practice will be discussed further.
