Design and Innovation at the service of the people: Collaboration EINA - Hospital St Joan de Déu

Nearly 90 students of Introduction to design project of the first year degree studies in Design at EINA, present a variety of projects of adaptation, creativity and ideation of spaces, in order to improve quality in the interrelation among patients, families and staff at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu. Hospital premises exhibits the proposals that will be included in the bank of ideas considered and executed by the Hospital’s Research and Innovation team, led by Jaume Pérez Payarols.

All students have worked on three action environments, immersing during 4 weeks in order to produce a specific proposal and formalization principle. The overall result of the projects arousing, both in graphic campaign designs and through proposals on product design and in general, interaction with space, are now exhibited at the Hospital premises, on the 2nd floor: hall in front of the cafeteria, until July 31st, 2015.The projects on display range from a pergola in the outside for visitors to advertising posters reinforcing the nurse’s community, featuring aswell ideas for products such as special guides to adapt door handles to children or challenging projects such as a Guinness record, designed to raise funds for a particular disease , among others.
