Expo Oriol Fontdevila

Dechado de virtudes', an exhibition by Alejandra Mizrahi curated by Oriol Fontdevila

Dechado de virtudes is the first solo exhibition of Alejandra Mizrahi (Tucumán, 1981) in Barcelona and in Spain, curated by Oriol Fontdevila, writer, curator and coordinator of the master's degree in Exhibitions. Curation and design by Eina. Mizrahi is an artist of reference in textile experimentation, with an emphasis on giving continuity to the textile traditions of the northwestern region of Argentina, whether of pre-Hispanic heritage or established in the colonial period, which Mizrahi tensions and subjects to improbable relationships. Mizhari has been an Intemperie artist since 2019. Dechado de virtudes is her third exhibition with the project.

‘In this exhibition, the artist points to textile work as a kind of material and symbolic infrastructure that participates in the constitution of the human. Mizrahi takes the human body as well as the architectural body of the art space El Sielo as scales of reference to be kept in tension. A feast of virtues transforms El Sielo into an intervened place rather than an exhibition space’ - Oriol Fontdevila

Saturday 5 October at 2 p.m. at El Sielo.
Carrer de Salvadors 22, 4th floor.
L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona
