Cristina Calderón, visual artist and lecturer on the Bachelor in Design, is taking part in the autumn edition of ECOSS Festival 2026 with Traspassar la terra (Crossing the Earth), an installation that will be on display on 22 and 23 October, from 7.00 to 9.30 pm, at Fabra i Coats in Barcelona.
ECOSS Festival is a Barcelona-based cultural event that explores the relationships between art, technology and sustainability, featuring a programme of contemporary works that encourage reflection on current environmental and social challenges.
With Traspassar la terra (Crossing the Earth, Calderón explores the relationship between physical and digital landscapes. The installation combines physical materials, images and three-dimensional technologies to create a space in which the boundaries between the real and the virtual become blurred.
Cristina Calderón's artistic practice encompasses photography, video, sculpture and installation, with a particular focus on the relationships between landscape, matter and digital technologies.
